In 2012 a new and user friendly whirlpool is installed in a renovated bathroom.The second bathroom has recently been renovated too. In spring 2014 the roof has been renewed, new paint outside, and inside the house has got regulated spots and automatic fuses. A new mountain bike route is established recently together with a combined exercise- and playingarea, equipped with exercise equipment.
Slettestrand has also a new bike path connected to the “Margurit”-bikeroute and has just finished building a shipyard belonging to “Han Herred Havbåde”. Here the construction of fishingboats can be studied closely. Fresh fish can be purchased directly from the beach at Thorupstrand.
There are several supermarkets in Fjerritslev at a distance of 10 km. In addition Slettestrand can offer several dining options, where some of Denmark’s most beautiful nature can be experienced. Svinkløv Badehotel is a very special hotel built in wood 1925. In Fjerritslev we have a 18 hole golf course and in a short distance you will find the most famous amusement park: Faarup Sommerland. There is only 36 km. to Himmerland Golf- & Spa Resort.
